Using the bowling machine?
The Golden Square Cricket Club encourages players and participants to use the bowling machine, but if using outside of normal training the below log must be filled in.
We also would like to remind people that the bowling machine is not a toy and must be used correctly and safely. When finished, please make sure that all balls are returned to the bucket, bowling machine is packed up and put in the shed. Please return the keys and lock the lock box.

The operator should constantly be aware of the possibility of the ball being hit straight back at him/her. Speed of the bowling machine should only be set to the skill set of the batter. DO NOT increase speed of the machine if anyone is at risk of being hurt. Bowling Machines should only be used by adults or with adult supervision. Make

Make sure that the batter is ready before feeding balls into the machine. THINK SAFETY AT ALL TIMES.
If changing the speed of the machine please wait until the feeding wheels have reached their allocated speed (allow 20 - 30 seconds).

It is compulsory for all batters to wear protective equipment whilst using the bowling machine. This includes pads, gloves, abdominal guards & helmets. Please be aware of your surroundings and make sure you are ready.
